Why Photography, you ask?

Why Photography?.....

I really did not choose to start doing photography.....It sorta chose me!  

One day at work, my work neighbor was calling around getting quotes for her daughter, Kassi's, senior pictures.  I said that I could come over and take a few practice shots,  and we'd just see what happens.  It was decided.  I lost sleep for at least a week about how I was going to come up with a with ANY good shots.  The night before Kassi's shoot, I decided to take my 7 year old daughter and my trusty Sony Cybershot and take some practice shots.  She didn't dress up any or even brush her hair, we just went to the back yard and started taking some pictures.  I mainly was needing practice with different settings for my camera and editing.  I had my Sony for a few years by then but really had never used it on many different settings.  I was really surprised by the pictures that we got and it really helped me feel better about my upcoming Senior shoot.  Kassi and I took over 400 pictures in 4 or 5 hours that next day and I realized that I had fun.  FUN!  

I decided that from then on out I was going to take a LEAP OF FAITH, and try to make this work for me... That is how I decided on the name for my new business.

Since then, I have gotten a new camera.  It is a Canon EOS T1i.  I haven't used it a lot yet, but from what I can tell, I've got a LOT to learn!

My NEW studio!

Here's a couple of shots taken in my new studio.  I took advantage of my free models and made my children sit for some practice shots.  Baylee loves to sit for me, but Blake is much more reluctant to have his picture taken.
